It was cruel and sudden for the idisposition which confined him to bed for a few short days never seemed till the very end to be fatal but the fates had decreed that the great and good man who was our founder should not suffer for any length of time and almost in full possession of his senses he took his leave of this world with the serenity he bore so easily and naturally as part of his be [...] He is no longer with us and we know to-day what it is indeed to be orphaned in every sense of the term In a long life he had his share of the buffetings of fate; the death in his prime of a youthful and promising son was a blow that many a strong personality would have found impossible to overcome.
