The petitioner moved the High Court and in view of the conflict of decisions the matter was refered to the Full Bench. [...] When the Rent Act of 1948 was in force the landlord instituted a suit against the tenant for possession on the ground of bona fide requirement and also on the ground of default. [...] During the pendency of the aforesaid proceedings the Rent Act of 1.950 was trilseJ and the question raised was whether the provisions of sec. [...] 3. 1950 the Rent Act of 1950 could not govern those pending suits because of the end of the normal span of life of the 1948 Act. [...] The rpeal therefore of the 1948 Act could not be regarded as implied legilative extension of the normal span of life of the 1948 Act.
