In view of the provisions of Article 145 (4) of the Incltan Constittion reference to the practice of the House of Lords is not quite relevant. [...] The decisions of their Lordships of the Privy Council are also in the form of 9x THE CALCUTTA WEEKLY NOTES. [...] 2 of the Ajmer-Merwara (Extesion of Laws) Act 1947 and section 2 of Part C States (Laws) Act 1950 were a/0.a vires to the extent that poer was given to the Central Executive Government to extend Acts other than the Act of the Central Legislature to the State of Delhi Ajmer-Merwara and Fart C (States) respectively. [...] The reaction of the Courts and the decisions on knotty problems of constitutional complexities may not always accord with the opinion of the President's advisers at the Centre. [...] A very bad instance in the latter country was the series of special tribunals set up in Hyderabad Deccan to try the leader of the peasant movement some of whose cases the Special Act not having abolished the right of appeal were carried twice to khe Supreme Court of India.
