Adverting to facts we doubt whether any well-informed member of any section of the legal profession will for a moment question that in matters of procedure practice despatch of business and in the effectual and even dispesation of justice there is any Civil Court in this country which comes up to the standard of the Original Side of the High Court. [...] So the cost oes not often depend on the Court but varies ccording to the inclination or the wisdom of the parties. [...] Held—That the circumstances that give jurisdiction ne alternatively (x) when the Defendant is a subject A the foreign country in which the judgment has been abtained (2) when he was resident in the foreign country when the action began (3) when the Defendant in the character of Plaintiff has selected the forum in which he is afterwards sued (4) when he has voluntarily appeared and (5) when he h [...] By the public " I do not mean the comparatively few people who can afford the luxury of a litigation in the High Court but the vast body of poorer people who are copelled to put up with injuries because they have not the means to seek redress in the High Court. [...] I believe the establisment of a City Court will mean a great reduction in the fees of leading Barristers and is bound to tell upon the fees of the leading members of my branch of the profession.
