The purpose for which the return of the Paper-Books is required is said to be " to compare them "—with what it is not disclosed; and a warning is added that if the requisition be not complied with Advocates would be running the risk of having the final hearing on uncompared Paper-Books. [...] The author has 'obviously put himself to immense pains to t` place the amendments in the scheme of the new Act and interpret their scope and purpose by reference to the object of the hole legislation. [...] The amenments and the provisions now replaced are both set forth in the body of the work which is prefaced by an admirable Introduction reviewing the entire Act in the sequence of the actual formation and working of a copany. [...] 21 r. 54 be eta-' mined it will be seen that the effect of the attachment was merely to prohibit the judment-debtor from transferring or charging the property in any way and the only thing which could be transferred or charged was the equity of redemption in the mortgage. [...] or the Receiver has power to sell the joint family property including the interest of the minor son or sons of the insolvent for the payment of his antecedent debts not incurred for immoral or illegal purposes.
