business during the Long Vacation it is due alike to the Vacation Judges and the members of the profession that regular sittings of the Vaction Bench disposing of pending cases as in term time ought not to take Oace. [...] We hope there is no truth in the report published in the daily press that a certain section of the authorities are favouring the appointment of the Chief Justice of the prvince to officiate for the Governor when the latter may go on leave. [...] The administrative power of directing the judicial resources of the Court to the transaction of particular pieces 4 classes of business is vested solely in the Chief Justice and Judges can exercise their functions only within the limits set by him. [...] In view of the long interval between the 1st and the 2nd Volume—nearly a year—and in view of the various amendments having taken place during this interval particularly the Indian Companies Act it is desirable that the 1937 supplement should. [...] The question in dispute is as to the interprtation of the hypothecation bond namely whether it created a charge on the entire property for amount which had accrued susequent to the date of the document.
