So the driving power that Lord Grey says will make the machinery of the League of Nations move and work for the prservation of peace rightly interpreted reduces itself into the development of the same type of moral sense in the minds of the more powerful nationalities of the world as exist in the minds of the individuals which make them live in peace with their neighbours and refrain from c [...] So here too we take it that the growth of a sense of security amongst the more powerful nations in the world of which lie speaks surely means the development of a higher standard of international moral sense amongst them which furnish through the League of Nations a collective guarantee against any injustice oppression or breaches of the peace by the powerful against the weak. [...] A League of Nations founded not merely for enforcing peace but with an ideal for the establishment of brotherhood of Nations and the advancement of the moral material and intellectual well-being of mankind would be worthy of the democratic spirit of the present age which is taking the form of a second religion in the minds of the cultured classes all ever the world. [...] The defence of the Petitioner inter Witt was that the suit could not proceed without making all the heirs of the original holders of the jama in possession of it parties to the suit. [...] The Small Cause Court Judge found all the facts in favour of the Plaintiff but dismissed the suit on the ground that the cotract was contrary to public policy : Held—That the engagement being not cotrary to the wishes of either the boy or his parents and the Plaintiff being in the position of an impresario and the contract having been fulfilled the Defendant must pay the sum he agreed to pay
