The Incorporated Law Society in England is pressing for the creation of a Minister of Justice whose duty it will be amongst other things to reform the procedure of the Law Courts with a view to make it more popular take to the rconstruction of the administrative work conected with Law Courts as also the reconstittion of the legal profession by means of a more efficient system of legal [...] of the University Commission has we undestand been appointed Chairman of a Committee for the reconstruction of the machinery of Goernment in England and the suggestions of the Law Society for legal reforms have been submited to him by the newly-appointed Minister of Reconstruction. [...] The problem for the future will be to reduce the cost of administration and divert it to i;nore fruitful channels for the promotion of useful purposes such as technical education sanitation and the development of the economic and industrial resources of the country. [...] 184 is that no provisions of the LimitatiOn Act not even those relating to computaion of period and to the granting of extension of time to the re-opening of the Court when the last day fails on a holday can consistently be made to apply to Sch. [...] 12 and if the time requisite for obtaining the copies of the decree and the judgment be not excluded in computing the period.of limittion prescribed for the appeal it may some= times be considerably curtailed to the great prjudice of the party litigating under special and local laws for no fault of his own; for somtimes delay in obtaining copies of judgments and decrees is caused by the
