A number of Appendices folow giving first the proposed amendments of the Government Rules the notifications relating to the payment of the landlord's fees during the interval between the old and the new Acts extracts from the legislative proceedings and the text of the Rates of Iterest Bill. [...] There was no indication in the policy as to to whom the money should be paid but there was a provision in the body of the policy itself and there was a similar provision in the schedule making the prposal part of the policy: Held—That the proposal must be treated as a part of the policy of insurance and that the proposal must be looked to to discover to whom the insurance money was payable. [...] The statements in the proposal must be read as being incorporated in the policy; the proposal must be looked to to discover to make such a provision: Held also—That the words " self or wife V " in the proposal created a trust in favour of the wife within the meaning of sec. [...] This is evident from the comprehensive epression for the sake of the family " or for the purposes of the family " used in the old texts of which the expression " benfit to the family " is the modern translation. [...] It would always be open to the holder of the instrument to sue the maker and the acceptor o f the instrment and he need not sue all the members of the joint family if he so chooses.
