is the only Agricultural College in India in which the Professorship of Agriculture and the Principalship of the College are merged into one post. [...] This is all the more important now that the College has been affiliated to the University of Nagpur since in the absence of the Professor Of Agriculture on leave it is essential that there should be an acting Professor of Agriculture. [...] Work during the year.—The outstanding feature of the year has been the completion of the affiliation of the Agricultural College with the Nagpur University on 29th July 925. [...] The general high level of instruction which has been given at the College in the past is shown by the fact that affiliation with the University has necessitated very little change in the College courses. [...] At the same time it is known that certain bacteria in the soil have the power of fixing the nitrogen of the atmosphere and thus increasing the store of nitrogen in the soil.
