At the end of the year there were four farm boys in the morning class five in the evening class and two adults in the night class. [...] With the admission in October however (for free tuition and no wages) of sons of farm and sanitary coolies the day classes were aumented and at the end of the year the number of pupils was 28. [...] 75 and in The Orchard fitting up of electric lights forthe Rest House and the fitting up of the Pressed Steel Tanks for the Research Engineer’s workshop and at the wind mill near the Botanic Garden. [...] The Assistant Director of Agriculture Rajahmundry reports that the increase in area was not appreciable owing to the fall in the price of jaggery and it required effort to maintain the existing area. [...] Plantains.—In spite of the fall in the price plantain was successfully introduced in wet lands and there were 2 410 acres in the Godavari division which is double the area of the last year.
