in the West Coast districts the north-east monsoon and the hot weather rains practically sway the condition of the coconut trees. [...] But the quantity of each of the manures except cattle manure " and “ double dose of fisguano and ashes ” experiments was doubled in view of the fact that the trees have begun to yield. [...] 5 Block IX 3 Block X 1 Total 15 Of the above blanks 9 were caused by the death of lowered seedlings during the hot weather in blocks I and VIII together probably due to the effect of lowering. [...] (ii) General condition of trees and seedlings was fairly good and there is the prospect of getting a heavier crop next year but the harvest during the year was low partly on account of the bad season of the previous years and the bumper harvest during the last year.
