Season.—As recorded in the last year’s report the season during the past year was eminently satisfactory as far as coconut is concerned resulting in the increased yield of nuts during the year by 77 per cent over that of the previous year at the Kasaragod Station. [...] COCONUT—12 The rainfall at both the stations was favourable for the growth of Cowgram green manure sown on all the four coconut experiment stations with the result that a heavy green stuff was obtained for ploughing in. [...] 76 of Kasaragod for the study of the best month in the year to gather seednuts and the remaining 91 seedlings were from self-pollinated nuts. [...] The manurial experiments started in 1922-23 and 1923-24 were repeated and the quantity of each manure applied was the same as that of last year. [...] Period during which the female flowers were receptive and the male flowers of the same inflorescence open.
