Similarly in view of the remoteness of the locality and the coplete absence of any female medical aid it was decided that a midwife was necessary for Pachbadra ; but on account of the exising financial stringency the post of the dresser at that station was abolished as an offset to the cost of entertaining the midwife. [...] The suggestion of the General Purposes Retrenchment Committee that the preventive work of the Internal Branch should be transferred to the control of local Governments was thoroughly examined and the Government of India after having considered the matter fully decided not to proceed with the proposal. [...] As already mentioned in the previous year’s report when the revised rates of depreciation Have been approved by the Government of India the divisional officers will prepare the detailed lists of assets in their divisions showing therein the value of each asset on 1st April 1924 arrived at on the basis of the revised rates of depreciation charges and submit them to the Commissioner’s office for i [...] There was however a rush to open new accounts just before the end of the year 1931-32 also the holders of certain accounts exchanged their securities during the currency of the accounts during 1932-33 and these circumstances necesstated the deposit of securities to the value of Rs. [...] This large increase j.n revenue was due to the adjustment in 1932-33 of the large number of credit accounts opened at the end of the year 1931-32 before the abolition of the credit system.
