The fall in sales is mainly due to the closure of indenting on the Kalabagh source during the year as well as to the opening of a suspense account at Sambhar on account of which the cost of 1 035 wagons of salt viz. [...] A scheme for the reorganization of the superior establishment of the Department involving the separation of the technical and administrative branches at Khewra the creation of a separate mining section of the Department and of a new preventive division in the North-West Frontier Province and the Punjab was submitted to the Central Board of Revenue in June 1934. [...] The decision of the Government of India regarding the expansion of the Pachbadra salt source to meet the requirements of the Bengal market is still awaited. [...] As a result of the success achieved in placing the Reshta salt in the Bengal market during the previous year the Government of India sanctioned in February 1935 the sale of another 35 000 maunds of this salt in the same market. [...] For Nawa the Society held the contract up to the end of August 1934 and for the rest of the year the contract was held by Messrs.
