The improvement of cotton—one of the main item5 in the work of the Agricultural department received increazed attention : the area under the improved strainiv 916 type in the Baroda district extended and the enforcement of the Cotton Transport Act brought about a rapid elimination of inferior varieties of cotton in the Naysari district.
