This has greatly facilitated the conduct of the present enquiry in view of the very helpful attitude adopted by the employers in replying to the Committee's questionnaire and in supplying me and the officers of the Committee with the necessary information. [...] The guiding principle in the selection-of centres of survey was to make the survey regionally representative so as to discover differences in the conditions of labour in the same industry in different parts of the country. [...] This departure from the usual procedure of the Committee as a whole dealing with the work was necessary in view of the imensity of the task and the necessity of maintaining an all-India perspective. [...] The machine-men and coolies in the station attend In the crushing of the ore by " jaw type crushers and convey the pulverized ore to the stamp mill where it is converted to " pulp ". The stamp mill mep lead the pulp over blanketing tables to the tube mill.
