Directors’ Report and Statement of Accounts of the South Karanpura Coal Co. Limited for the Half-year Ended 31st August 1944

We beg to report that we have audited the foregoing Balance Sheet of The South Karanpura Coal Company Limited as at 31st August 1944 and the Profit and Loss Account for the half-year ended 31st August 1944 with the Books and Accounts as kept in Calcutta in which have been incorporated the Certified Returns from the Colliery. [...] We have obtained all the information and explanations we have required and in our opinion such Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account are drawn up in conformity with the Law 'and subject to the sufficiency of the amount written off for Depreciation the Balance Sheet exhibits a true and correct view of the state of the Company's affairs according to the best of our information and the explanation [...] On Wednesday the 10th January 1945 for the purpose of receiving the Directors' Report passing the Audited Accounts for the half-year ended 31st August 1944 declaring the Dividends recommended by the Directors and for transacting any other ordinary business of the Company.
