Directors’ Report and Statement of Accounts of the South Karanpura Coal Co. Limited for the Half-year Ended 31st August 1945

The estimated earnings under the Bonus Schemes have been included in the Accounts for the half-year ended 31st August 1945 and the balance will be included when the figures have been confirmed and payment has been made by the Coal Commissioner's Office. [...] of the capital cost and it is of primary importance 'to the finacial stability of the Company that as far as possible this Special Depreciation be provided in the accounts of the Company in the same years as it is allowed for taxation purposes that is in the two years following the installtion of the plant and equipment in question. [...] We have obtained all the information and explanations we have requited and in our opinion such Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account are drawn up in conformity with the Law and the Balance Sheet exhibits a true and correct view of the state of the Company's affairs according to the best of our information and the explanations given to us and as shown by the Books of the Company. [...] on Friday the 11th January 1946 for the pup o s e of receiving the Directors' Report Passing the Audited Accounts for the half-year ended 31st August 1945 declaring the Dividends recommended by the Directors and for transacting any other ordinary business of the Company.
