HEAD letter of 12th instant from Consulting Engineer and also letter of same date from Officiating Secretary and Treasurer Bank of Bengal on the subject of attempt at Robbery of the Bank’s Money on 4th instant while in transit by Rail.—(Appendix A.) The question of building separate Vans for the conveyance of Specie was discussed but no conclusion having been come to 1. RESOLVED that the cons [...] for looking after the Fleet at Mongbyr and it having been explained that this number was insufficient 3. RESOLVED that retrospective sanction be recorded for the retetion of two men for each Boat and for the payment of :their salaries acordingly. [...] 1760 of 9th instant with Statements.—(Appendix E.) 5. RESOLVED that the arrears of rent due on the land as well as compensation for damage done to it be authorized to be paid on Costruction Account and that the collection and transport of Ballast be chargeable to the Material Suspense Account of the District. [...] Eurr.—(Appendix G.) 7. RESOLVED that in compliance with his request the papers be submitted to the Consulting Engineer in order that he may ascertain whether the charges made by the Commissioners are legal.
