[...] In the Peithtviraj the author has shown why the Empire of the Hindus fell and in the Shivaji he traces the causes of the re-emergence of the Hindus from the tragic delude of the eleventh century. [...] and elevated in thew and diction which frequently rise to heights of tragic grandeur but never descend to the level of the common-place the author has enlivened the discursive details of narrtive with the magic touch of personality and clothed the dry bones of history with the flesh and blood of living reality.
