Already in the first century B. C. the $akas and a little later the great Yue-chi hordes occupied the home of the Sogdians in the Oxus valley. [...] If they are connected with the ancient Sogdian immigrants then we have to suppose that the group Sulkl Solga Solkah was related to the Sfilikathe Sogdians of the Eastern and Southern provinces of Sogdiana and the Sud Suda Sudgi were related to Suyd or SurSik the Sogdians of the western and northern parts of the country. [...] Solanki Rajputs are still to be found in the Punjab in Hoshiarpur and in the tracts bordering on Rajputana in the South-West of the province." (el-bid I p. 47.) The origin of the Calukyas is unknown. [...] The Finance Minister appoints the Governor and VicGovernor of the Imperial Bank of Japan and the four Directors and five Auditors who are appointed by the Government consttute the Board of Directors. [...] Both the President and the Vice-President are appointed by the Goverment from among the directors and the Minister of Finance has a general control over the affairs of the Bank.
