A collection of Essays and Discourses by the Eastern and Western Disciples of Ramkrishna-Vivekananda. [...] He traces the origin and development of the religion of the Aryas since the Vedic times and shows how new rites and practices some wholesome and some unwholesome have crept into the fabric of the Hindu faith. [...] Writing of the purpose of the book the author says in the Introduction :—The idea underlying the composition of the book has been that of the great principle that whatever makes for unification for sympathy for expansion for enlightement for toleration for freedom is to be encouraged; and all that makes against these that is in fact separative destructive narrowing productive of hatred [...] The fruits of mane years' hard researches in the Himalayas and 25 years' successful experiments by the founder and 12 ev inent Physicians of Calcutta and elsewhere are now placed before the public for the relief of suffering humanity in general. [...] his presidential address to the National LI Second Assembly of the League of Nations a PP Canada in his Dominions tour and his recent few of his orations in Australia Fiji and pronouncements in England and India on 0 the Kenya question.
