And lastly what should be the method of teaching the Rapid Reader ? These are the three main questions that we have to consider in connection with the problem of Rapid Reading in the High School. [...] It serves as a transition between the extensive study of the text and the independent reading of the books of general interest in the library without the help of the teacher. [...] The whole crux lies in that the pupils should make a start with ideas come to the knowledge of elements of the story and later on comer tlit elements of the sentences and finally to the letters by the process of discovery and observation. [...] But before illustrating the actual working and modifications of the Story Method the best of the lot at prActual working of the Story Methods with various modifications sent a few words regarding the history and illustrative devices of the story method are necessary for the information of enthusiastic teachers. [...] It was proved in evidence that the presence of the hole was known to the headmaster and the caretaker but was not known to the managers of the school.
