Aim of the Project method : TO bring knowledge to a child in its natural setting to bring before the child problems and facts of life in which the child is interested to make the child think things for itself and to create in the child a desire to know more about itself is the aim of the Project Method. [...] One of the commonest sights from Juhu is the fleet of fishing boats sailing fast and the children can be led to talk of this and to discuss the life of the fishefolk. [...] The lessons can include a study of Malabar the land of the cocoanut palm and of Ceylon where the chief source of income is from the cocoanut trees. [...] Interest the children in finding out the wages of the workers and of the conditions of their work and living. [...] Let the children make a survey of how the Eskimoes manage to live in the extreme cold lands of the north how the Arabs pitch their tents in the deserts how the African tribes build their kraals and thus come on to the modern luxurious buildings.
