[...] or by the moral cleanlness of the people's customs and the sincerity and the kindliness of their hearts ? Gandhiji's central idea seems to be that if every individual realises the worth of spiritual freedom and acts accordingly the liberty of the nation is assured. [...] From this point we can fully apprciate the view that it is not the noviolence of the meek and the imbecile but of the strong and the powerful that can be effective in overcoming the user of violence.
