By adopting the practice of mixing on a wide scale it is possible to increase the availability of the existing supplies of wheat by at least 15 per cent and at the same time to lower somewhat the cost of the product without detriment to the quality of the bread prepared from it. [...] In view of these findings the desirability might well be considered at a time when the supply of pure wheat is unequal to the demand of adopting the practice of mixing to a much greater extent than at present and even if necessary of making compulsory the mixing of one or other of these grains according to which is available with wheat in all cases where the manufacture of flour in mills or [...] In the course of my inspection of fishery tanks it has been repeatedly brought to the notice of the owners that the failure of their fishery crop has to be attributed very largely to the presence of predatory fishes in their tanks ; the keeping of the two types of fishes together is like attempting to rear a flock of lambs along with wolves. [...] The higher the quality score the better the loaf and the quality of the parent material. [...] a maund) of wheat-bajra mixture more chapatis can be prepared than chapatis of equal weight from the same unit weight of pure wheat ata ; and obvously the greater the proportion of bajra in the mixture the greater the number of chapatis that can be prepared from such mixtures which is a decided advantage from the point of view of the commercial baker.
