A disease characterized by emacition decreased milk yield weakness and impairment of the use of limbs thickening of the joints development of boriey growths on the long bones and the jaw spontaneous bone fratures and mottling of the enamel of teeth has been described under a local name gudur amongst sheep in Iceland and Darmous amongst horses cattle and sheep in Algeria Tunis and Moroc [...] We have no indication at present of the occurence of selenium and molybdenum poisoning amongst stock in this country but the exact position can be ascertained only when a special study of these trace elements in relation to the health and well being of our livestock is made and more attention is paid to the elucidation of some of the hitherto undiagnosed animal diseases. [...] The back and most of the body is black and the breast and throat are white. [...] On the completion of the two stages of development of the cotton fibre the boll bursts open and the fibres twist as they dry up. [...] Numerous samples of cotton have been graded in respect of their maturity at the Technological Laboratory since 1933 in order to study (1) the relationship between fibre maturity and spinning quality of cotton (2) the effect of environment on fibre maturity (3) the effect of hybridization on fibre maturity and (4) the effect of variety.
