It is a thorough examination of the attitude of modern science towards what the Professor rightly calls the miracle' of causality and at the same time a most important contribtion to a fuller understanding of the three principal Indian views on causality : the asatkiirya of the Vaisesika the satkarya of the Satukhya and the vivarta of the Advaita. [...] par/mil/la of the Supreme and the realisation of the sildramati that the unchangeable Brahman alone is " without even a taste of duality either internal or external of the same or of a different kind " the vivataverda has often been made to lean towards either of these two extremes especially the latter. [...] The educated will demand a hundred proofs for the existence of the Creator but the uneducated peasant sees Him clearly in every object : the sky the earth the seasons the rain the river the field the insect the bird or the beast.
