The scientific Sanskritist explains this as the palatilization of the original guttural by the influence of the palatal vowels or semi-vowel (in case of Aryan jh the change is to h in Sanskrit). [...] The Samkhya theory of evolution is Mechanical in the sense that the effect is already contained in the cause or the subsequent stages of evolution are explained in terms of the antecedent ones. [...] It is again teleological in the sense that the evolved products subserve the ends of the Purusa or that the whole evolutionary process is directed towards the realization of the Purnsa's goal. [...] The evolutes are already contained in the evolving cause in a potential manner and the production of the effect means the passage of this potential or implicit condition of the cause into the actual or explicit state of the effect. [...] The cause and the effect differ therefore as the implicit differs from the explicit as the potential differs from the kinetic and as the simple differs from the complex.
