The Lieutenant-Governor of Bengal issues a notification inviting the attention of the heads of colleges and schools and of all parents and guardians of boys "to the inexpediency of permitting students and school boys to take part in the celebrations of the boyeottaanniversary." Pundit Mokshada Charan Samadhyayi late Professor of the Bengal National College is :acquitted of the charge of harbour [...] The Government review on the Report of the working of the Factories 1st in the Madras Presidency shows that the number of factories rose from t23 to 153; and the (lath average numl.et of operatives from 46 15i to 50 179. [...] ascribes to England the intention of extending her influence over the indepedent parts of Arabia including the territory of the Emir of Schamer with the intention of running the trans-Arabian section of the railway through his territory ; but it reasons that since the compltion of the Hedjaz line the Turks will anticipate this and annex the whole of independent Arabia. [...] This price was firstly the identification of Vasudeva with Vishnu an ancient sun-god worshipped by the polytheistic lowes orders of the Midland and secondly the cofession by the Brahmans of spiritual orthodoxy of the monotheistic tenets of the warrior caste. [...] SEARCH FOR RELICS The recovery of the diagonally opposite corners of the stupa not only determined the size of the monument and thereby confirmed the theory as to its identity but it also made it for the 168"RELICS OF THE BUDDHA first time possible to determine the exact centre and to make definite search for the relics which the Chinese pilgrims toll us Kanislika enshrined in this stupa.
