The Imperial Rescript by His Majesty the Japanese Emperor the message of Viscount Saito the Prime Minister and the address of Hirota the Foreign Minister —all on the occasion of the withdrawal from the League of Nations—are published because the paper is in complete agreement with the official policy. [...] There is no wonder then men in every walk of life have taken inspirations from Rabindranath the Poet the Teacher the Seer the Musician the Dramatist the Politician and the Reformer. [...] The innate charm and pathos of the plot and the morals which the author seeks to convey through its medium gives to Patibrata a very special appeal and interest to those thousands of our countrwomen to whom love reverence and duty towards their husbands is their one and only thought of life the greatest of all duties the religion of all religions. [...] On the whole the Iron and Steel industry of India which means the Tatas will have to compete in the open market with the British imports in regard to all articles except bars and sheets and the duties imposed even on these do not exceed the normal level of revenue duties. [...] the shoulder of the Indian consumers through the ingenious plan of protecting the British product while the Tariff Board has spoken in enthusiastic terms about the achievements and benvolences of the Tatas their report reveals the glaring inconsistency of inequitable treatment No industry says the report has made better use of its opportunities under protection than tinplate industry of Tata
