- (b) To.conduct the correspondence relating to the business of the Council to the Senate and of the Finance Committee including all correspondence referring to new appointments„flections to theCotincil and the entry and recruitment of students. [...] The Reynolds number cannot: boever be used as a criterion for determining turbulent motion in the atmosphere as Reynolds' analysis supposes that in the different states of flow the only differences are those of the size of the boundary and the rate of flow the nature of the fluid remaining unchanged. [...] Formation of Eddies If we have WA streams of Ilia of different origin flowing at the back of asharpcorner the Bernoulli constzfht of the two streams will be diffeent and as the pressure along the surface of dicontinuity is the same the velocities in the two streams would be different. [...] Rosenhead ea a result of his invetigation of the flow of it stream of density v and velocity it in the direction of the axis of x above a stream of the same density but towing in the opposite direction came to the conclusion that the effeft of instkbility jilt a surface of discontnuity of sine-form is to produce concentratiom of vorticity at equal intervals along the surface the surface o [...] In spite of that it leaves unsettled certain importqpt points as for instance the structure of turbulent motion and the connexion between the motion in central 'core' of the field and the boundary layers in the immediate vicinity of the walls.
