MESSAGE OF THE EAST And behold the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the East. [...] Indeed the mind is made up of memory; therefore all the past and all the future exist in the mind only the present exists in the senses. [...] At eight in the morning when the whole Ashrama sparkles with new life and everthing is fresh and fragrant the Swami held the morning meditation commenting on the day's lesson from the Book of Daily Thoughts and Prayers." At noon tasks were laid aside whether of the desk or of the field and the workers were again brought into contact with the iner Source of things this time through the
