The very great honour of delivering a Friday evening discourse before the Royal Instittion of Great Britain was offered him and the enthusiasm with which his discourse was received was the precursor of many others in different centres of learning in the 367 AVF Br. [...] The importance attached to these dicoveries was shown by the fact that the University of Vienna formally addressed the Secretary of State for India expressing their appreciation of the stimulus afforded by Prof. [...] At the invitation of Verworn and other German savants Professor Bose was to have given a course of lectures at Bonn Leipzig Berlin Munich and other Universities the first of the series being announced for the 4th of August ; but on that day the war broke out and Prof. [...] After this he lectured before the State Department of Washington the Bureau of Plant Industry the Academy of Science of New York the lIniversity of Michigan of Illinois of Chicago of I.ee Stanford and others. [...] Kumudini Das of the Bengal Provincial Education Service who is the Secretary of the Committee appointed by Government in the matter.
