Applicants should furnish all necessary information specified in the following rules for the scholarship ;—(1) That the scholaship be open to all Bachelors and Masters of Arts Bachelors and Masters of Law Bachelors and Doctors of Medicine and Bachelors of Engineer-' ing of the University who are under the prescribed limit of age on the 31st day of March in the year in which the selection is m [...] B.—The conditions are.—(i) that the cadidate is a native of India within the meaning of the statute ; (ii) that he is under 22 years of age on the 31st day of March in the year in which the selection is made; the Government of India have raised the age limit to 25 years in the case of Medical Graduates of the Madras University and to 23 years in the case of persons holding other degrees viz [...] FORM The following are the notes which were prviously circulated ;- I have now had the opportunity of visiting all the buildings of the University and its colleges in Bombay of seeing something of the manner in which the examinations are conducted in the temporary strr.ctures which are erected from time to time and also of seeing the plans of the New Science Institute and going through the bu [...] In I there are signs on every hand of the growth of intelligent interest in the progress of things a spirit of helpfulness and self-help a keenness of appreciation of the rights of the individual and a recognition of the unique charater of the opportunity for the exercise of the purest patriotism afforded by the presence here of a paramount authority that guarantees to the country the protect [...] In the negotitions which preceded the Museum Act of 1866 it was arranged that the Government should provide accommodation for the Asiatic Society in the Museum buildings but this was found impractcable for want of room and thus the Museum and the Society were separated although representatives of the Society were included in the Board of Trustees to which the collections were formally tran
