He could not annex the part of Germany to the left of the Rhine but the occupation of this region along with the right of reoccpition was attained and this over and above the annexation of Alsace-Lorraine; not the unconditional incorporation of the Saar region but veiled frenchification of same and the occupation of the Saar mines. [...] And at the same 'time the occupying powers supported the communistic risings in Mahlheim -on the Ruhr Gelsenkicchen and Dortmund; on the Rhine and in the Palatinate they stirred up separatist movements which since 1919 aimed at the establishment of a Rep:Lillie of the Rhine under the patronage of France and the result was open insurrection. [...] In the meantime the death of Stresemann the uncompromiing attitude of the German-National-Party leader Hugenberg who introduced a plebiscite over the question of adopting the Young Plan and the vigorous propaganda of the National Socialists made the inter-party relations 'in Germany quite deperate. [...] But in the Quarto (1599) of Romeo and Juliet we have the prompter's note Enter Will Kemp.' Kemp is the name of an actor (his name occurs in the list of actors at the begining of the First Folio) and his name occurs in the place of the character he was to represent. [...] But the political significance attacing to the Crown-as the head of the British Empire has undegone an immense change so much so that we may say in a way that the political history of the British Empire is but the history of the development of the constitutional position of the Crown in the Imperial system.
