The rules made by the Syndcate are designated "Ordinances" and the rules paased by the Academic Council are designated "Regulations" Under the Act of /904 all regulations whether passed by the Senate or the Syndicate were subject to the sanction of the Government Under the new Act only the "Statutes" are subject to the approval of the Chancellor.
