The advent of Mandecal marks a distinct advance in the evolution of mandelic acid treatment of urinary infections; indeed the administration of Mandecal approaches the ideal method of practising mandelic therapy. [...] Rapid and certain results have been achieved by the use of Colloidal Calcium with Ostelin in the treatment of fractures and of acute and chronic urticaria as a powerful adjunct to the treatment of tuberculosis and in the treatment of tropical neurasthenia when disordered calcium-phosphorus metabolism is often the root cause. [...] Any demand for reprints additional to the above must be forwarded at the time of submission of the article for publication Or of the galley proof and will be charged for at the following rates and additional copies and extra pages at appropriate rates NUMBER OF REPRINTS. [...] The attempts to cultivate the leprosy bacillus under special gaseous environment are Iiased on the work of Wherry and Ervin (1918) who showed that carbon dioxide was essential for the growth of M. tuberculosis and on the extensive studies of Novy Roehm and Soule on microbic respiration with special reference to the respiration of the tubercle bacillus. [...] The cultivation of the bacillus of leprosy in minced chick embryo was mentioned for the first time in his Annual Report for the year 1932 by the Surgeon-General of the Public Health Service of the United States.
