There can be no question then that students at the present day are intensely interested and rightly interested in problems of citizenship but in the midst of the prevalent unrest of this time and in the consciousness that all is not well with the present state of society there is a tendency to throw overboard some of the sanctions which have proved their value in the past. [...] Amongst these sanctions is that of religion ; and through influences which have travelled mainly in recent years from the unhappy country of Russia some of the youths of this country have been tempted to think that religion is the characteristic device of the upholders of ancient forms of state-craft which have outlived their usefulness and are now merely the instruments of oppression and class [...] religion may make to the upbuilding of the state and of the service Wh i eh she may render in the preparation of the future citizens not only of India but of any state whatsoever. [...] It is over the election of StudenEditorsp.and of the President and the Vice-President of the College Union. [...] Under the auspices of the Athletics Society of the College a charity match was played between the Staff and the Students in the College ground.
