In the public life of the School and College there has been no movement for the betterment of the students for the infusion of a stronger corpoate life into the Institution or for the training of young men in a spirit of patriotism of high idealism and of.inselfish service which has not had in Mr. [...] At last some of the more nervous of Meerut society began to tzke fright and on the second day of our procession the sight of the ap proaching multitude w's the sign for the doors of houses to be hurriedly shut and for servants to receive instructions to inform us that the owner of the establishment was not at home. [...] Besant to arrange the transfer of his services to the field of purely Theosophical activity ; but he has left his mark upon the College ; he has shown how an Indian can do his duty to his Motherland ; and more than any of us I think he has won the approval both of the public and also of the Government the gootill of the latter being evidenced by the recognition of his work by the Govermen [...] The policeman like the common soldier "EDUCATION FOR 157 is the lowest stratum of the Kshatriya caste the caste charged with the duty of protecting the weak shielding the helpless restraining the violent the cruel the oppressive guaring the King's peace and if need be eforcing the King's orders. [...] For the sake of conciseness and full explanation on this part of the creation of the Universe we shall take one Purdna like Vishnu Puri-in and we shall remove the apparent difference in the treatment of the subject between the Puranas and the Upanshads.
