In view of the subject of insurance being included in the curriculum of two of the Indian Universities the book is a timely publication for the students of insurance but the general public including lawyers called upon to deal with the legal aspect of the business will also be much benefited for previous to this publication no standard work on the subjects existed. [...] If the one science is not the science of the Westerners it is at least a sort of synthesis of the present-day science with the science of the ancients. [...] If the one art is not the romantic art of the English the German or the Italian it is at least a synthesis of this with the classical art of the ancients and orientals. [...] But when the idea arises that the days of this world are transient—that the evening of life is approaching—the sport of this world will be finished now—but the various pictures of the past full of life beauty and imagination are peeping through the window during the interval of his work—then all on a sudden the heart is filled with deep sorrow the soul begins to cry. [...] A study of the past history of Indo-British trade relations will show that in spite of the desire of the Indian commercial community.for the observance of the principles of 'reciprocity' and 'co-operation' in the commercial field with the countries of the universe they have been unable to obtain the acceptance of the India Govt.
