* * * Tliough the annual reports of the Students Welfare Comm ittee convincingly show that the average health of the College student is fast deteriorating in the province and they seem to suffer from overstudy lack of physical exercise and proper nourishment the Committee of the Senate seem to recommend the inclusion of three new subjects Elementary Science History and Geography in the list of [...] The thought of the rising Socialism the shadow of the coming War that would crush Capitalism the failure of banks and the instability of the Sharemarket—all these combine into a dreadful fury which haunts them day and night. [...] The joy of cretion the realisation of the importance of life in the building of the new society which sustains Russia in the face of so many hardships would inspire the individuals in the most precarious condition and would make their lives worth living. [...] When we delight in thousand and one charms and attributes that embellish her eveinteresting character the central rhythm in her that moves us to perpetual smiles and tears by the appeal of its mute music : the fascinated heart yearns to offer its humble homage at the altar of the Queen of Beauty and the enraptured soul asks the eternal question `What shall I say of the Embodiment of Beauty an [...] With the dawn of theistic faith in the human mind it has been the attempt of men to rise from the world to God from the vast wealth of the external nature to its source.
