Only the wild: sons of the Najd and of the depth of the desert resisted the prestress of civilization. [...] The Khalif 'Omar the great Representative of the barbarians of Arabia the founder of Musalman.empire and the destroyer of the Alexandrian library forcibly resisted the growth of a written liteature. [...] The thorax is of suborbicular form the back and bind part are flat the sides slightly depressed the margin sharp the basal impressions very near the angles ; it is as are also the elytra rough and finally pubescent the stria3 of the latter being thereby rendered obsolete. [...] The head is of a bright green color with the labrum and the mandibles of a deep and the antennae and palpi of a light brown the latter being darkened twards the end.
