The Vishva Bharathi of Bengal the College at Monteplaire and the Association for the Organisation of the African Langages are moves in the direction towards the cultural affinity of the different races of the world. [...] So Krishnamurthi's ideas of the origin and the maintenance of the Universe seem to be the following :— i. The Universe is not the result of Creation. [...] And the skies are fair and the greenwood glad And the earth is young and gay ; When God is giver what may'nt be had In the month of May ?"254 THE HUMANIST Thus in this season in the month of May the whole of Nature the inanmate and the animate is gay. [...] The Chairman Sir M. Visveswaraiyah in introducing the Lecturer said the subject of the evening was one of tremendous importance in the present condition of the country where the population was not kept witin the bounds the result being that there has been a lowering of the standard in living and comfort.
