Go ye 0 Bhikkhus and wander forth for the gain of the many for the welfare of the many in compassion for the world for the good for the gain for the welfare of gods and men. [...] Third a close relationship btween India and these countries may facilitate the Renaissance of Budhism so that its tenets and dectrines may be reoriented and readjusted in the light of modern art and philosphy and may form the moral and spiritual foundation of industrial civilization and may avoid some of the materialistic effects in the East as it has been the case in the West. [...] Dip Raj a staunch Buddhist who was in the chair spoke in gloing terms of Narada Thera's travels in many lands in the cause of Budhist faith the Dharma and the Sangha for the good of the lowly and the humble. [...] The purpose the archaeologist has in view in maitaining monuments is to preserve as much as is possible of the handiwork of the ancients so that they may shed light on the culture of the past. [...] The conference was attened by the CommiSsioner of Police and other high officials of the Goverment representatives of the Calcutta University and several members of the Maha Bodhi Society of India.
