R. W. Cable F. R. I. B. A. was appointed as an Official Delegate of the Indian Institute of Architects to the R. I. B. A. Centenary Celebrations and was requested to convey to the R. I. B. A. the following message on behalf of the Indian Institute of Architects:- ' Heartiest greetings on the occasion of the Centenary Celebration from the Indian Institute of Architects." The following have been [...] The reopening of the Licentiate Class in England has been done with a view to bringing in all the qualified architects within the rank of the Institute for the purpose of promoting a Registration Bill in the Parliament which condition does not affect practising Architects in India."" 84 JOURNAL OF THE INDIAN INSTITUTE OF ARCHITECTS January 1935 THE R. I. B. A. CENTENARY CELEBRATION DINNER. [...] " In 1924 the proposals of the Council for the amalgmation of the R. I. B. A. and the Society of Architects with a view to the unification of the profession and the promotion of a Registration Bill were approved by the general body of the R. I. B. A. and by the Society of Architects. [...] PRESIDENT LADIES AND GENTLEMEN " By command of the Toast Master and at the desire of the Committee responsible for the organisation of to-night's function I rise to propose a very pleasant toast of the evening and that is the toast of Our Guests". [...] Referring to the developments of the city during the 35-40 years the speaker said that the improvement effected during the last so many years which has made Bombay look more beautiful was due to the Architects and the citizens of Bombay have a deep sense of grattude for the Architects.
