2. Boundary.—The State is bounded on the East by the villages of the Bhavnagar State and of the Agency on the West by the villages of the Rajkot and Jamnagar States on the North by the villages of the Dhadhuka Taluka and of the Agency and on the South by the villages of the Jamnagar State and of the Agency. [...] There was a dispute about the temple village Vanala which dispute was decided by the Agent to the Governor in favour of the temple reserving the right of management of the village with the Agency against which point an appeal has been made to the Honourable Bombay Goverment and it is hoped that the Government will entrust the management to the Mahant of the temple with whose line of ancesto [...] The absence of any complaint from any subject of the State to the Agency and the expression of entire satisfaction by all the European Officers who visited the State during the period of the last seven years speak for themselves for the able and efficient administration of the Darbar Saheb. [...] His Excellency the Governor has admiably increased and strengthened the loyal devotion within the hearts of the Princes and Chiefs of Kathiawad to the British Crown by guaranteeing to them the upholding of the policy of non-interference by the British Crown in the internal affairs of the Native States. [...] But the suit being in a nature to provide maintenance to the relations of the Chief falls within the jurisdiction of the State and therefore the prelminary objection of want of jurisdiction was taken it was decided by the Agent to the Governor in favour of the State but reversed in appeal by the Bombay Government and now it is in appeal before the Secretary of the State for India in Council a
