The balances were partcularly heavy in the two portions of the of the Satkhira Estate in Khulna in tie Bhawal Estate in Dacca in the Karatiya Estate in Mymensingh and in the estate of Chaudhury Mahammad Ismail Khan in Bakarganj. [...] The progress in the repayment of debts of the Sachar and the Bardhan Estates in Tippera was not also satisfactory as all attempts to sell some of the propeties of the former estate failed to attract bidders while the sale of the properties of the latter had to be deferred because the partition proceedings of its Matlab properties were not completed. [...] The percentage of cost of mavagerne nt of the Dacca Nawab Family Estate has risen from 14 to 15.59 owing to the increase of pay granted to the staff of the Chief Manager's Central Office and of the Tipera Circle of the estate as a result of their rorganisation sanctioned during the year. [...] Audit of accounts.—Out of the 26 estates in the Presidency the accounts of which were under the rules liable to audit during the year by the Examiner of Local Accounts the accounts of 21 estates were audited up to the year 1332 B. S. and those of 1 estate up to the year 1332 A. S. The audit of the accounts of the Bhawal Estate for the year 1332 B. S. was taken up but could not be completed wh [...] Survey and record-of-rights were in progress in the portions of the Karatiya Estate lying in the Serajganj subdivision of the district of Pabna and in the district of Bogra in 334 villages and field work in all 'the villages was completed in the previous year.
