The administration of the Mysore Petroleum Regulation and the Rules thereunder which vested in the Director of Industries and Commerce since 1924-25 was re-transferred to the Chief Inspector of Mines and his designation was changed to Chief Inspector of Mines and Explosives in Mysore " in view of the combined duties devolving on him. [...] 5. Position of the Mines.—The estimated total ore reserves of all the at the end of the year 1933 was 1 344 225 tons showing a decrease of 5 6! against an increase of 152 078 tons at the end of the previous year. [...] In substitution for the 22 per cent Royalty on Dividends payable under the existing Leases the Companies will pay during the remaining currency of the existing Leases Ltoyalty on profits at the rate of two-thirds of the scale of Royalty fixed for the new Leases. [...] - The installation of a.50" Sirocco fan at the 73rd level in the Auxiliary Section has greatly improved the ventilation of the southern section of the mine. [...] The profit sharing agreement between this company and the Nundydroog Mine was terminated at the end of February 1934 by the latter paying a sum of £6 000 and obtaining a release of the obligation to work the reserves and acquiring the existing reserves for themselves.
